Ashleigh Laura Latonick is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office where she is a part of the Automobile & Municipal Liability teams. Ashleigh has handled matters at all phases of litigation, from inception through trial. Prior to joining Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC, she was a Deputy Attorney General for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Organized Crime Unit, where she prosecuted individuals engaged in racketeering activity, human trafficking, firearms and narcotics trafficking, money laundering, white collar and financial crimes, and violations of the uniform firearms act. There she worked on several long-term investigations utilizing the Statewide Grand Jury and the Wiretap Act (Title I of the ECPA). She was also an Assistant District Attorney for the Delaware County District Attorney’s office for nearly a decade, where she rose to the position of team leader, and was one of three attorneys on the Gun Violence Task Force. In her time as a prosecutor, she has tried over 50 jury trials.
Ashleigh earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech in 2007, where she graduated cum laude. During college, she was a member of the crew team and Vice-President of her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. After working in the legal profession for several years, Ashleigh graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 2014. During law school, Ashleigh was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, as well as a member of, and Special Projects Coordinator for, the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. She was an associate editor on the Journal of Catholic Social Thought, and a student ambassador. Ashleigh also participated in the Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court, and trial team. During law school, she completed internships at the First Judicial District, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office. She completed the Civil Justice Clinic as a court appointed advocate, representing indigent clients in custody and support matters in Philadelphia County. While at Villanova Law, Ashleigh also worked as a research assistant to the Dean of Academic Affairs, Patrick Brennan.
Ashleigh is active in the Delaware County Bar Association. She was an executive board member and president of the Young Lawyers Section from 2018 – 2022, where she planned and executed a variety of events, and taught CLEs at the 2019 and the 2022 DCBA Bench Bar Conference. In 2023, she was Awarded the 2023 DCBA Illumination Award, for demonstrated devotion and enthusiasm for the practice of law, demonstrated superior legal skills, and inspiring others through her accomplishments, including charitable endeavors, community service, and service to the members of the DCBA. She was also awarded the Nicholas D. Vadino, Jr. Memorial Award for Significant Contributions by a Young Lawyer to the Organized Bar at the 2023 Delaware County Bar Association’s Annual Bench Bar Conference.
Ashleigh lives in Thornton, Pennsylvania with her husband and two children. In her “free time”, she enjoys exercising, travel, and spending time with friends and family. During the summer (when not in the courtroom), you can find her at the Delaware beaches.
