Diversity
Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC is proud of its diversity efforts, and strongly believes that creating a diverse environment starts with recruitment. As a firm, we have always organically sought individuals who have different life and vocational experiences, as we believe it benefits our firm as a collective, and our clients. We truly believe that the myriad of experiences and perspectives enables us to provide the very best representation on behalf of our clients.
The firm has been intentional about interviewing students from diverse backgrounds and using connections of its current attorneys to attract lateral, diverse candidates. The firm’s infrastructure is such that attorneys are trained and encouraged to take greater responsibility in cases to promote an individual’s continued growth and development. This is achieved through guiding an attorney through the initial stages of a case, grooming them to take on key roles in the discovery process, and eventually culminating in that attorney taking a case to arbitration and/or trial. Our goal is to expose our diverse attorneys to clients so that they have the potential to develop strong, lasting relationships, leading to greater confidence and increased responsibility for those clients.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy
Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC is committed to fostering, cultivating, and maintaining a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Our team members are our most valuable asset. The individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities, and talent that our team members invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but also our reputation and achievements. We believe that our commitment should extend beyond the walls of our firm and to the clients and communities we seek to serve.
We embrace and encourage our team members’ differences in age, race, national origin, ethnicity, disability, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, language, physical and mental ability, religion, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our team members unique.
Our diversity initiatives apply to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, professional development and training, committee participation, promotions, terminations, recreational programs, and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity that encourages and enforces:
Respectful communication and cooperation between all team members.
Teamwork and employee participation, permitting the representation of all groups and employee perspectives.
Work/life balance, through an accommodation of team members’ varying needs, with a recognition that not everyone can and will work the same schedule or in the same way. This focus on a work/life balance and understanding that each team member has a unique situation helps to remove disadvantage and/or discrimination in our workplace.
Team member contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.
The diversity of our workforce is visible at every level of the organization.
Continual education opportunities regarding team members’ unconscious and conscious biases to ensure these biases do not manifest themselves at work.
Our team members have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. Through respect, understanding, and open communication between and among our team members, we will continue to strengthen the values of our firm, encourage the individual growth of our team members, and remain steadfast in our commitment to our clients.
