Daniel C. Moraglia is a member of Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC. He received his law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in 1993. He is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts. After law school, Dan worked for the Department of the Navy as assistant legal counsel at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, gaining considerable experience in labor and employment law. His experience there included litigating cases in federal district court in Title VII, age and handicap discrimination cases. Dan has tried various cases including: Title VII race and reprisal claims based on failure to be promoted; Rehabilitation Act claims for discharge of a sandblaster; sexual harassment by a foreman against a worker.
Since joining Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg LLC in 2000, Dan has represented clients in civil and commercial litigation involving serious personal injury and property damage. He has litigated and tried numerous automobile accident cases in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties as well as cases involving fire, roof collapse and other commercial damage claims. He provides clients with opinions concerning coverage matters implicating the laws of various jurisdictions. He represents a Fortune 500 company in employment matters and has tried Title VII race, gender, age, retaliation and hostile work environment claims on their behalf. He has also briefed and argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and Pennsylvania Superior Court. Believing that avoiding litigation is the primary objective, Dan works with companies developing employment handbooks and sexual harassment policies and training to prevent problems from developing.
Dan frequently lectures to business and insurance groups on insurance issues. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
