Stephany L. Gordon is a member at Bennett, Bricklin & Saltzburg, LLC where she focuses her practice on automobile and premises liability as well as hospitality and liquor liability. As the co-Chair of the firm’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement Committee, Stephany focuses on fostering, cultivating, and maintaining a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within and outside of the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Stephany worked as a litigation attorney in the areas of bankruptcy and foreclosure.
Stephany graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science. After managing a restaurant and operating a bar in San Antonio, Texas, Stephany moved to Philadelphia to attend Drexel University, Thomas R. Kline School of Law. During law school, Stephany was an executive board member of the Drexel Moot Court Board, where she was recognized by the law school’s administration for balancing the Board’s budget. As a Board competitor, she and her partner were awarded 2nd place for their brief in the Thurgood Marshall National Moot Court Competition in 2014 and placed as a semi-finalists in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2015.
In addition to graduating cum laude, Stephany completed more than 250 hours of pro bono work, provided legal services at a community center in Germantown, mentored high school students and fellow law students as a mock trial coach, and taught high school students constitutional literacy through the Marshall-Brennan Program. She was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the law school’s newly established Community Lawyering Clinic. During her third year, Stephany worked in the Clinic providing legal assistance to homeowners, training pro se litigants to advocate for themselves in court, developing an online resource guide for homeowners, and leading community trainings on legal issues related to homeownership.
Stephany was nominated and awarded the F. Sean Perretta Service Award by the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division; the Philadelphia Bar Association’s 2014 Law Student Award by the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Public Service Division; and the Clinical Legal Education Outstanding Clinic Student Award and Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project Outstanding Student Award by the law school’s administration. Stephany was also named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer® Rising Star[i] in 2022-2024.
Originally from Nevada, Stephany has friends and family throughout the nation and all over the world, but she truly loves Philadelphia and considers it home. She loves to travel with her husband, son, and pup. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, and volunteering in the community.
